Before the execution of a business there is the business idea.

We live in a time where business is not as transactional as it used to be. Nowadays every entrepreneur provides value, before products and services, to its customers.
So, before knowing how to execute the business plan, you need to know if the business you are about to start matches your values, your skills, your desires. Only if this matching happens you will be able to provide real value to your customers.
But how will you know if your idea is THE RIGHT ONE? And how will you know your idea is the most suitable for you?
Here are some questions to ask yourself:
Is there a match between the business values and your personal values?
Your business is mainly about you (at least in the beginning it is) so it should match your values. For example, if you are a nutritionist that wants to start a business for vegans, then it would be somehow useful for you to be a vegan :) To be able to walk the talk, as they say.
Are your best skills put to work into this idea?
Needless to say that if you have experience in a certain area and you master some skills, you should pick a business idea that capitalises on your skills. Your skills should make a difference in your business.
Do you have a greater scope, other than getting rich?
Of course you thought of starting a business in the first place because you want to make a lot of money, drive a Ferrari and live in the Bahamas for the rest of your life. We all do. But there needs to be something more, beyond that. Maybe you want to make a difference into people's lives or to change the world or initiate a new trend. When there is a greater scope, there is also a greater desire to make it happen.
Are you willing to lose it all and then start all over again?
This is a question to ask yourself no matter the idea you are implementing. Being an entrepreneur comes with a lot of risks and only resilience will keep you afloat. You should have enough balls to keep going even if you fail from time to time or if the times are hard.
If there is no match, then you should maybe realign yourself, get some clarity and self awareness, and then brainstorm for new business ideas until you find the RIGHT ONE FOR YOU.
